GFC Men's Camping Trip

When

Friday evening → Sunday morning September 25–27

  • Check in: Any time after 5:00 PM Friday (Official check‑in is 3 PM, but arrival after 5 PM is recommended.)

Cowans Gap State Park 6235 Aughwick Road Fort Loudon, PA 17224


Group Site 001 – Special Directions

After passing the rear of the park office, follow the directional signs taking the lower road. Cross the bridge, continue straight on the gravel road, and the group tent camping area will be on the left.

  • Tent & sleeping gear
  • Food (personal meals + optional shareable item)
  • Camp chair
  • Personal or group pastimes (yard games, cards, etc.)

Site Amenities

  • Picnic tables
  • Group fire ring
  • Plenty of space to spread out
  • Running‑water bathrooms on site
  • Showers available (expect a walk of 300+ feet)

Activities

Nothing is formally scheduled, but the park offers:

  • Hiking trails
  • Lake access for fishing, kayaking, or swimming
  • Plenty of space for rest, conversation, and connection

Cost

Purpose

Bring a willingness to commune with fellow men of GFC as we build deeper connections and enjoy rest away from our busy lives.

Optional Lodging

RV sites and rustic cabins may be available for those who prefer not to tent camp. Reservations must be made directly through the park:
