Sunday, August 28th
On August 28th there will be no regularly scheduled worship experience! We will be engaging our community through service and sacrifice.
Our plan is to serve from 9:30am to 12pm and then gather at the church for lunch together. Burgers and hotdogs will be provided, please bring a dessert (last name A-L) or side (last name M-Z) to share. Childcare will be provided at the church for preschool and nursery aged children during the service projects. Come drop your littles off at church between 9-9:15am and head to your site.
Below you will find information about each site and spot to sign up for the site of your choice. We can't wait to serve with you!
Locations and Projects
New Holland Elementary (New Holland) - Last year NHE mentioned to us they would love to have a sensory playground painted at the school. So this year, we are making that happen! This project will include painting on the blacktop to create the playground.
Crossnet Ministries (New Holland) - We want to help support Crossnet in all they do for our community by helping them with some work around their campus. This project will include painting and landscaping. If you can bring some landscaping supplies like a weed whacker, leaf blower, and gloves, please do!
The Factory Ministries (Paradise) - The Factory is one of our newer partners and we are excited to help them again this year! This is the site where we need the most help and have the greatest variety of projects: painting, cleaning, yard work, and manual labor. Feel free to bring whatever tools/supplies you might have that would be helpful!
Align Pregnancy Services (Ephrata) - Align helps women in need and we want to support their mission to share Jesus with the women who show up at their doors. This project will include helping them deep clean their facility.
School District Encouragement Cards (GFC) - The school year is right around the corner and we want to encourage all the teachers who are heading into the school year. We will gather at GFC and write cards to the teachers and faculty members at our local schools.
